This is a new band because i had never heard of them before. The name "Puro Conjuntazo" caught my attention, so i decided to give it a try. It was fair, it is one of those that is good not great. Highlights for me were "Como" the classic A. Flores song, and "Borracho Y Loco" written by the late Cornelio Reyna. All the songs on the cd are basically the same. They all are not bad, but they are nothing special, some songs even sound kind of flat. If you like conjunto music, and feel like jamming to something new they try this cd. Final Grade B-
Ya dont spend your money on it. It is nothing but cover songs. If you have alot of conjunto cds you probably already have the songs with the original artists.
I got this cd cause the name sounded great, and since i heard they were from Houston, i figured they were like Los Monarcas, or like Impozzible but they are not at their level. Ok cd, but nothing i would keep in my cd for that long, its gets boring fast.
i give them an A+, for all there hard effort in making this new cd. they have come a long way from when they first got started, even though they are new they allready have put out there first cd. just wait for the next one im sure it will be just as good or even better.
