Let me start off by saying I have enjoyed Frutty's last couple of cds. I loved the last one Leyendas Part I very much. It was about time someone decided to honor our Conjunto Legends. That being said i was Very Disappointed with his latest release. The Popurri just falls flat! While the idea was good the music and singing do not come close to matching the first ones intensity. As for the rest of the cd its much of the same. About the only song i liked was track #2 El Parrendero. The cd is nothing like the last, it just lacks the same fire and purpose. The idea to honor more legends with Popurri #2 will earn him a few points and brings me to his final grade of C+
when i got this cd i expected big things, boy was i wrong, sad sad cd. like 76er said it just lacks that fire that bad the other one really good. better luck next time frutty D
