I heard them too. Amazing group. Noe the acordian player plays like the Late Jimmy Garcia. You could close your eyes and pretend it was jimmy, man i swear hes good.

Oh boy when i saw them play they out played all the other groups out there, They out played Los D Boyz, Lil Michael and a few others. I was mighty impressed. Hopefully soon we will have a cd so we can all enjoy. They are one of my favorite conjuntos, and i have only seen them twice!!

I have only seen Mesquite 2 times and i love the way they play. They really do remind me of when the Garcia's were good. Noe is a modern day Jimmy Garcia (R.I.P.)

I agree with the Garcia Comparasions. The Bajo and Squeeze Box, are what conjunto should be. I enjoyed there music the one time i saw them. I am still kinda shocked they have not come out with anything yet.

What's up HellBoy just wanted to say thanks for all of the replies and comments everyone has given El Conjunto Mesquite. As for the question on who taught me well I learned about 80% on my own and the rest a got a little help from my uncle, and Johnny Longoria from el conjunto jamm. He taught me a little here and there, But other than that it is all by ear. And of course I will give them the thanks for letting us jamm with them every once in a while. As far as advice goes, never think you are better than anyone else, because as you know as a musican you learn something new everyday, and never give yourself credit, let the people decide that for you.
