Ted is a true heavy hitter i agree with the rest of you. There is other guys past or present who can play, but can any of them play any single stile out there? i dont think so. If there is any there is very few. Ted is one of those i have seen it myself. He simply is the best kept secrect in Conjunto Music.

Oh boy i have  see Ted play before and he was just tearing up that Bajo man it was hott!! I saw him in Rivera with Mesquite and was very impressed the way him and the Acordion player worked together. You could sense a true connection between the 2. Too bad they never worked on a cd together so everyone could see that all this is just not talk. I have seen alot of Musicans but he is a true master of his craft. I wish he would play hardcore conjunto instead of the orignal stuff they play now with the group he is currently with. Its ok but he has the talent to branch out and do so much more.

Well If I had to vote on the best bajo player it would be Ted Villalobos, he is a master of the bajo sexto, and in my opinion he can take out anyone,  for all of u thinking  u can top him, well keep dreaming.  In conclusion i would put my money on Ted any day any time and if that bajo player from jamm wants to take on Ted well son u r in for a lesson.
