Just wanted to ask my friends on here if any of you knew the date for the STCA awards this year? To me and alot of people here in the corpus area these are the real awards!! The Tejano Music Awards are a bunch of crap, in my opion. Just look at all the people nominated, they are all from the same damn labels. Come on this is just as bad as the Freddie Records Dominated Grammys, The STCA awards are by far the best, but thats my opion, sorry for those that dont agree.
I agree with Dani, the TMA are just a complete joke now and a total waste of time. It doesnt take much to be nominated nowadays. Look how much those awards have fallen, you all still remember when they USED to be in the Tejano Capital in San Antonio, now who knows where the hell they are. Give me the STCA any day
I went last year and had a great time. The bands rocked, and everyone was super nice, i will make sure to attend again this year. It is a conjunto lovers dream!
