I guess by now it is no secret that I am a huge T5 and Alacranes fan, so I feel like I must take on a different persona to do this review objectively.....So... Canasta Records...I would like to intoduce you to "El Reverand Hustletown"....seeing as how these tardeadas are on Sunday, no one other than el good Reverand can do this job....
Empesamos con Bernardo Y sus compadres....the first thing I would do is change the name of the band to Bernardo y los conjunto ALL STARS....band consisted of Don Bernardo on vocals, Mr. Charlie Saenz on accordion, Mr. Rey Arezmendez on bass, Mr. Isaac DeLosSantos on bajo(bet some of you guys didnt know he could play bajo) and Mr. David Flores on segunda voz and beer drinking This was the first time seeing Bernardo in action, and I came away impressed, he had the crowd going for his entire set, played my favorite song....Me importa madre....so he got some brownie points for that...."gracias Dios por ayudarme con este review....amen"
Now on to the rest of the show......
This can only be described as an event of Biblical proportions.....T5 took the stage and did what can be described as soul cleansing, the music, the vocals all meshed together like angelic conjunto music from above....imagine if you will......David Flores and his Hohner playing for the masses, giving everyone that "alegria" that only he can do...kind of like the piped piper getting the people to follow the angelic sounds of his accordion....then you have Brother Jerry getting everyone in line with the masterful sounds of his bajo....once everyone has gathered, Mike Gutierrez and Mr. Rey Arezmendez come in and give all those gathered a beat to march to on the way to the promised land......Once there, Issac begins to sing, and the sea begins to part, leading the way to the dance floor.....If God created the earth and everything on it in 7 days....then on the 8th day he created T5....The guys were on their game as they always are, playing all the T5 and Alacranes hits, favorites of the nights were "SABOR A MI", "EL MURO", "ESCANDALOSA", "GEMA", "TE VI PASAR" and the list goes on...oh yeah "AHORA" Mrs. Hustletowns favorite....great night, great music, great times with great friends....what else can we ask for? Gracias for reading this review....Hustletown5591 will be back next week doing his thing....Que Dios los Bendiga, and dont forget to tip the waitresses....
if the music was realy great the crowd was into it why did irma from mak's make a big deal to cut off music exactly at 10:00 ? she needs to work on her people skills
To put it plain and simple, the tardeadas are from 5-10 pm....how hard is that to understand? Its been like that for a long time, have u ever been to one at Maks that went later than that?
sorry hustletown u should have been paying attention to irma how she told them to stop. During the middle of the last song she went up to the stage and with her finger she cut her throat to give them a sign to stop playing . No big deal but she could have done it in a nicer way other than giving ugly faces. by the way you give good reviews !!
Mak's is going down hill.Now shes charging groups $50 bucks each gig to pay for royalties for song writers.its been going great for the bands and now she wants a piece of the groups pie.if it gets packed she makes her money at the bar.so why is she takeing money from the bands.she aint giving the money to pay royalties thats bull caca.Lots of bands are going to stop playing at Maks believe me I know.So hustle start looking for another place to do your reviews bro,if not your gonna be reviewing local bands only.And another note come on bro be honest on your reviews bro.You said on one of your reviews that Tony Tigre should get a sound engineer come on bro these guys aint Intocable.**** happens.Say it like it is and dont be afraid of the truth.Every single group sounds like the best in the world to you.
well if you want to be honest she's not using the money to pay anybody she is saving the money to pay for her beer license, its nobodys business what she uses the money for but she doesn't have to make up story's like that. it's only a matter of time before she raises the price to 75 bucks then 100 . i wouldn't be surprised if she tried to charge for parking soon cause thats what she said she was going to start doing real soon.

Guerrero are you in a band? How did you get this information? And as far as the review thing, bro I do it for fun, and if it sounds like I like all the bands that I review, well then your right bro I do like them....Would you pay to go see someone you dont like? I wouldnt....and as far as Tony's review....you tell me to call it as I see it, I did...he was messing with the sound board way too much, but that was the only bad thing about the show...the man and his band are awesome, I love his music....I appreciate you posting with a name though, shows you believe in what say, I admire that....If you see me @ Maks or anywhere else for that matter, come say hello, we'll have a beer and talk some conjunto....
