Well just wanted to share my weekend with you guys.....
Started off on FRIDAY @ Hallabaloos.....TREMENDOS V and GRUPO IMPOZZIBLE.....and LOS TREMENDOS V ALACRANES....LOL.....well Isaac and the boys really were on fire....the band was tight, the mood was there, it was a night for great conjunto music, David did a few Alacranes songs, sounded awesome....IMPOZZIBLE, did a great job!! those guys really work hard and definatley put on a show.....Pinche Isaac forgot my CD, but that cool, he owes me one.....drank about a 12 pack
SATURDAY.....Boni Mauricio y los Maximos @ MAK'S ICEHOUSE.....Boni was.....well, BONI....what else can you say? Boni as always had the whole place gritando!!! ANIMO CHINGON!!!! great music, great atmosphere, oh by the way BONI mc'd the costume contest....did agreat job....I can see him mc'ing fashion shows when he retires.....con la voz toda raspy....Oh yeah Boni if you read these posts....thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing MADRECITA QUERIDA for my mom...it was the highlight of my evening to see my mom smiling like she did.....scaled it down in front of mom...drank about a 6 pack
SUNDAY......GREG PAREDES AND GRUPO BADD.....After watching these veteranos....I realized how much longer the younger conjuntos have to go to be as good as these guys, It was my first time seeing them live, I have 1 cd, that was done a long time ago....Boni was on accordion for them on that CD....I was truly impressed, everyone in that band could sing beautifully.....drank pura agua con ice.....lmao....beer just doesnt taste good after 3 days of drinking.....
4 bands in three days....still feel dehydrated, knee is killing me from dancing, lungs still recovering from cigarette smoke,.....but isnt that what CONJUNTO is all about? Peace, I am out.......
