My REPLY TO ITS TIME TO MOVE(TONY DE LA ROSA) WEEL i FOUND THAT TO BE DISRESPECTFUL, TONY DELA ROSA HAS ALWAYS BEEN, AND WILL ALWAYS BE ONE OF THE BEST. HIS STYLE WAS VERY UNIQUE, AND THERE IS ALOT OF GROUPS TAKING THAT STYLE, AND FOLLOWING THE SAME STYLE OR TRYING TO FOLLOW THE SAME STYLE AS TONY. hE WAS ONE OF THE BEST ACCORDIONEST OF ALL TIME, AND EVEN THOUGH HE HAS PASSED ON HE WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED, SO AS FOR U PUTTING LOST ENMASCARDOS AS THE BEST ALL TIME CONJUNTO BRO, WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, THOSE GUYS WONT EVEN COME CLOSE TO TONY, SO I ADVISE IF U REALLY WANT SOME REAL CONJUNTO, CHECK OUT, 2GS, ANGEL FLORES, RUBEN VELA, tONY(RIP) vALERIO LONGORIA(RIP) THOSE JUST A COUPLE TO NAME, NONE OF THESE OTHER BANDS WOULD BE HERE IF IT WERENT FOR THOSE GUYS, AND I'M TALKING THOSE R THE MOST COMMON STYLES
You say he is the best, because of all the bands that were influenced by his style, but this all flows together, 20 yrs from now, our kids will be talking about how los enmascarados were pioneers of the thier time, or how Johnny Cruz was the best vocalist, or how Tres was the best accordion player.....Do you see where I am coming from? I was not disrespecting the mans legacy, just saying that its time to compare apples to apples, and stop living in the past....
i promise you that my kids will not say they were pioneers of our time, my kids will know what real music is and no this is not it. its not your fault you just don't know any better. no style or feeling in this bands music. let me quote you two of my friends famous sayings ( you keep trying my friend and maybe one day you will get it) and (not even if the lord jesus christ himself came down and touched them they will never ever be able to play music in this lifetime or the next!!)...................... how you like them apples, no disresrect to any one just the truth

well, i guess the only thing that we will agree on is to "disagree".....music is what every idividual wants it to be, not what you want others to believe.....read your quote up above, you are quoting other people, where is your originalty? 20 yrs from know we will be talking about los enmascardos, really, no matter what u say about the past, the present and the future, 20, 30, evrn 40 yrs down the road we will still be talking about TDLR, let me ask u a question r u a musican, or just a critic, there is a diffrence, if u a musician u will know the difference, common sense tells u that in reality, los enmascardos r liked because of there masks, thats it, but if tony were a live, even on his worst day he could outplay los enmascadaos.
I was the one who posted the video, and yes it was meant more as a joke then anything. In no way shape or form do i consider these guys anywhere being the greatest conjunto of all time. Decent band ya ok, but great? No but that is just my thoughts on the subject.
yeah, I use to be very nieve when I was young, I thought Jaime de anda and Albert zamora were the best. As Ive learned for the past 18 years, Paulino Bernal, and Oskar Hernadez were the micheal jordans of the conjunto music scene.
I thought it was a joke or just somebody that did not know anything about Conjunto Music, the subject is getting old because everybody has their own idea of what conjuntos are the best and they are all right.
