Eloy and Larry De La Garza played with Los HNOS and recorded a few albums with them. After a long absence (few decades) away from the music scene they resurrfaced in 2005 as part of Grupo Flamingo in which they helpled record a cd titled "Once Upton A Time In Kingsville"
Bo you got to record with Mr. Vega didnt you, on Mi Borracherra cd (Alfredo De La Rosa)? Mr. Vega is a very underated musican in the history of conjunto music who could play Bajo sexto and Bass, and saxophone and play them damn well in my mind. He recorded the Bajo sexto with Eve De La Rosa and it sounds great!
We laid tracks down before in the studio, yes. I counld't agree with you more... Richard in my mind was & still after his death under rated... Rich played a very clean bajo & by the way played it by strumming the pimerra srings up right... now that's original... His sax playing was back in the day very modern. His Bass playing was tremendous. He had very fast fingers on the frit board & came up with some stuff that only he could do & took with him. Very knowledgeable individual indeed. Thanks for taking me down memory lane. Don't forget he could sing as well.
