I have one on layaway at a cc tx pawn shop asking price $1200 ive paid $600 already, however, ive been told by my buddy that his nephew tryed it and noticed that it was a fake. how can i tell if it is ?i really want a good bajo and tired of getting burned all the time, but dont know too much on what to look for if its real or not. It does have a good sound and low action .Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Id rather stick to the Hernandez,Ive seen to many messed up Macias bajos.Your lucky if you get a good one,the macias aint consistent. Thanks for the advise but Ill stick to the best Bajos right now HERNANDEZ!
I have both a Macias and an Hernandez. They are both great instruments! I will say, the Macias will kill your fingers after a few hours. The Hernandez is easy to play and very nice to your fingers. Easy to play with and try new chords. With today's sound technology I would go with an Hernandez. The Macias is a must have if you like to collect well know, good quality bajos.
In my Opinion I truly believe "Que es el Mono y el estilo!" reason saying is because i have been to alot of back yard jamm sessions and seen people do great music with the most generic instruments!! If you get a good ass accordion player and good Bajo sexto player then im sure they will still make it sound good!!!
