mexican groups charge $ 25.00 danny and it's all mexicans people.dont tell me that an american citizen dozen have $ 10.00 dollars porezo no progrezamos carnal .the bands travel a long way for 3.00 at the door.make it at the bar.here they charge $15.00 and beer $3.00 keeps the trouble makers out they want cheap beer.and it's puro conjunto dances.if the conjunto is good they will pay the prize.

What a person pays at the door has nothing to do with the progression on the band, JR's is just starting out, so they need to have a gimmick to get people there, I was there a couple of weeks back, saw Juaquin Chavez there, there was no cover charge, beer was cheap, the atmosphere was good, this is not in anyway a knock against JR's, but I wouldnt go to that place and pay a whole lot of money to see a band, its small, not alot of seating, you cant see the stage very well, we left there and went to go see La Fiebre at Beas Island club, paid 15.00 per person but had a table reserved for us, could see the band from where we were seated, big dance floor, mixed drinks for the ladies, tequila shots for the guys, you get the picture.....another thing.....se vas a escribir en espanol, por los menos has lo correcto, sabiendo hablar y escribir dos idiomas es un regalo que nuestros padres nos dio, por favor, si no lo sabes utilizar correctamente, no lo uses, gente que no sabe son los que ponen a nuestra raza para tras, en ves de seguir adelante nos estan atrasando.....and thats all I have to say about that....

THE OWNER FOR JR'S LOUNGE WANTED TO DO SOMETHING FOR CONJUNTO MUSIC HERE IN HOUSTON....THERE ARE ONLY A FEW PLACES LEFT IN HOUSTON THATS PURO CONJUNTO.
DON'T GET ME WRONG THERE ARE BIG TEJANO CLUBS HERE IN HOUSTON THAT BRING IN THE WELL KNOWN CONJUNTOS, BUT IF YOUR A CONJUNTO BAND THEY NEVER HEARD OF, OR JUST STARTING OUT, ITS HARD!

@ JR'S LOUNGE YOU CAN GET IN FREE AND ENJOY A LOCAL OR OUT-OF TOWN CONJUNTO BANDS.AND WITH THE PRICES GOING UP ON GAS... WHO WOULDN'T MIND SAVING A FEW BUCKS ETTING IN, OR EVEN USING THAT MONEY FOR A NICE COLD DRINK?

I THINK JR'S LOUNGE IS DOING A GOOD JOB IN SUPPORTING CONJUNTO MUSIC AND KEEPING IT PURO CONJUNTO....IF YOUR EVER IN TOWN COME BY JR'S LOUNGE AND JOIN US IN SUPPORTING CONJUNTO MUSIC IN HOUSTON!

JR's Lounge is doing a damn good job promoting conjunto music in Houston. Is the place perfect? No, but name one place that is the total package of perfection. I would rather go to a smaller place to see a conjunto play than go to a big club and pay $15.00 to watch a has-been tejano band. Who pays $15.00 for Fiebre anyways? JR's Lounge thanks for keeping conjunto music alive in Houston outstanding job.
