This is really sad seeing that there is so much conjunto talent in Houston. Shame on this committe, for not even including Tejano bands. This is crap sorry to say
I have friends who are on the committee and they have absoultely no say on who they can bring on Go Tejano day....so please, don't blame them. Please try to figure out where the problem is before you start pointing the finger. If you go to the TejanoJournal, Rosie Flores left an email address so that you all can complain and they can take it to the people who make these types of decisions. This is what was posted...

If you have ever been to the rodeo on Go Tejano Day, they do bring Conjunto and Tejano to the Hide Out, that, they do have control of, but other than that, the people who have control of the actual rodeo only look at record sells. and like somebody on the TJ said, money talks....
I completely agree with you, we have no control, but I am not part of this committee to make a change, and I know come people have tried to become a part of it to make a change and it just would not happen and they would get mad, so they just ended up leaving the committee...
