I just got an E-mail from UT Informing us that They couldn't officially get in contact with me or Gustavo until Sapt. 1st of his junior year, but that they would like us to go to summer camp this year so that they could talk to us and see Tavo.
Thats all they could get after getting a face full of hemet, and believe me the videos are decieving Tavo is 5'7" and 183lbs runs the 40 in 5.0 which is not the 4.3 they are running in the NFL, but is pretty good for a 13 year old Full back. He's been playing for 7 years. If you have a chance to see him in GP you'll see just how fast these kids play and how hard they hit. 8th grade is only 1 or 2 years away from a Varsity position if they're good enough. I don't know how your 8th graders work but these kids in Cuero, Calhoun, Victoria, and Bay City train to play for state championship teams. Two Victorians in NFL right now, might not be playing alot right now, but they made it. Both played for Patti Welder Middle School.
Good work Issac . Tavo has a good thing going. Keep him focused and working hard and great things will happen. The talent is there just needs to keep devolping it, and working hard in school. Hope tosee him as a Longhorn some day.
