Texas Folklife is hunting for future Accordion Kings and Queens and they're ready to put their money where the talent is! This contest is for 18 years old and under. The deadline to submit your entry form is APRIL 16TH!!! Go to www.texasfolklife.org for more information! Or call (512) 441-9255. If you're a young squeezebox player, you can win cash, recording time, and other prizes. Semi-finalists will perform in Houston and appear in a documentary by famed director, Hector Galan (Accordion Dreams, Los Lonely Boys). Finalists will play before Chubby Carrier and Mingo Saldivar at their 18th annual Accordion Kings and Queens show on June 2nd at the Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston.
