I was just thinking about something very interesting and I think it would make an interesting discussion here. Lets say you all were starting a record label, and you could sign any One Conjunto artist, no matter the price, who would you pick and why? OK, i will go first.
First Overall Pick: Mando Y La Venganza, first off he is mighty talented, and he is also young. Also he has the talent to bring young and older conjunto fans together because of his great music. Also he is coming of his first Conjunto of the year award, so the spot light is going to shine brightly on him for a while.
I would take a group that has been around for a while and has staying power. I would start with Los Dos Gilbertos because they are legends and would bring instant respect to a new company
I would take Linda Escobar, the reason? She is one of the few women in Conjunto Music today, and the best of them. She is well respected, and is very talented!!
Conjunto Express, all you have to do is come to check them out when they play in San Antonio, the people go crazy for them!! Also they are highly respected among the other conjuntos in the industry.
Lil Michael Y Conjunto Jamm, I agree that they are future conjunto of the year, and i also agree with the person who called him the LeBron James of Conjunto Music. Thats my thoughts.
