Was it true that Tony was the first to ampifly instruments? If he did than wow he is really the top legend of all. That changed the who world of music right their.
If i am correct i remember reading somewhere that Tony was the FIRST to amplify the instruments in conjunto music, I aint 100% but if were a betting man i would bet that he was the first guy to do this.
Its true i just read it on The Tony De La Rosa cd from Arhoole (Tejano Roots). The cd has a cool little book type insert with alot of info on him and his life.
Hey guys let me add my 2 cents, i also have heard this. I believe it to be true as well. Did you all know that Tony's first gigs were playing for a country band? Ya thats how he got his start. I got a photo in the store with him and the other guys from the band. He was barely like 13 when he started!! Anyone else got any interesting facts about Conjunto stars? Feel free to post them.
Haha i knew i was right....i posted a comment bout him doing this amplifying stuff an sumone commented back an told me that my facts were wrong.. .haha yah right i no this stuff ... statement proved.... Tony De La Rosa #1 Baby
If you're referring to the comments made in the poll forum, that's not what GB was reffering to. You were making reference to Tony De La Rosa being the "founder" of Conjunto, that wasn't the case. You make comments as to you knowing your history, but maybe you should do a little more research and find facts, not opinions. Yes, Tony De La Rosa was the first to amplify, but Valerio had already had a few hits before Tony recorded in the mid 50's. So my friend, there never was a statement to prove.
Hey Conjunto Historian are you talking to someone in particular or everyone who has posted on this topic? Just wondering cause it sounds like your replying to someone
