I also learned by just hearing the music. I feel that i can add my own stuff to it that way instead of just copying someone else's style. Good luck bro.
I agree with the others, Learning by ear is the way to go. It worked for me alright. I never could read music, but i guess i got by cause i have a little band out here in Florida, and we seem to stay pretty busy.
Their advice is good my friend, just listen to what you want to learn over and over again. It takes time but you will get it. Let your fingers do all the talking.
I Guess my advice was right.... noone wants to copy it note for note.... thats not right... do what u want to do... copying the way someone plays exact is not good... u wanna let ur fingers do what they feel..
Hey man Im 17... thats how i learned by ear... ive already recorded an stuff... playing aint nuttin now man...take it from a person who knows the stuff... if u no ur tonos an scales u can play any song u want...d ont worry ull get there
I am 16 and learned by ear to. I have recorded and play every weekend. learning by ear is a good way to learn just learn your tonos and scales like the other poster said and your all set.
