Hey Severo, i hear you man. I get calls from all over the country saying the same things you do. Right now all there is the internet radio stations, with is at least pretty good. Over here in Conjunto Crountry south Texas there are only about 2 Conjunto Stations. One in San Antonio (KEDA) and One in Corpus Christi (KROB) that play strickly conjunto music. Some others do Play conjunto but just like a part of the rotation along with Norteno, and Tejano. I agree we need more Conjunto only stations all over the Country. I feel like the future of radio is the internet. Or satalite radio stations, which should make some conjunto only stations. The problem at most stations, is that they bring in program directors, from other parts of the country, that dont know our music. They think because it is popular somewhere else it will work everywhere, which is not the case. I feel very lucky to turn on the radio and jam to KROB-1510 anytime i want, but i know others are not so lucky. I can tell you from what i see hear in my little part of south Tx. conjunto music is on the rise once again. The younger crowd is starting to listen, which is a good thing for our beloved music. There is also starting to be more and more young conjuntos, starting with young people witha lot of talent. Hopefully they along with the Conjunto Veterans and Legends, lead the way to a new Era of Music. I agree, i enjoy some Tejano and some Norteno, but it seems like all the stations you turn on are playing the same thing, aside from that, the groups are very talented, but they all sound the same. All i can say is continue supporting the Internet stations, and dont lose faith. Remember, Good Things Come To Those Who Wait!! Make it Total Non-Stop Conjunto!!
