Well, since everyone is back to doing thier thing, guess I would do mine....
Went to Hallabaloos friday night to see IMPOZZIBLE and LOS D BOYZ....D BOYZ couldnt make it due to weather, really missed not seeing these guys.....
There was a "band" that opened up....and we will use that term loosely..... Dont know the name cuz they didnt announce who they were, not that it mattered, would probably want to forget it anyway....drummer couldnt keep a beat, bassist was ok, accordion player was ok, bajo player was off the hook (Lawrence from IMPOZZIBLE helped them out) that was the only bright spot in a rather forgettable performance, I understand that they were a last minute fill in, but I paid to see 2 great bands and instead got 1.....
On to the main show of the night....IMPOZZIBLE....Houston's #1 Conjunto Showband...and these guys take that title very seriously !!!....everytime they get onstage their goal is to send the crowd home talking about them, whether its the way that they interact with the crowd, thier own style of conjunto, or just the way they deliver thier message "we are bad and we know it"....lol...band consisted of Bobby Torres on accordion....Lawrence Torres on bajo....and Lil Leo Nunez on drums....they performed all of thier hits such as.....Burbujas de Amor(off new cd)....Linda Morenita(Mrs. Hustletowns favorite)....Querido Amigo(my favorite).....abre el corazon....and the hits just kept coming.....they were called out for 2 encores and did they deliver!!!! they got off stage and took thier music to the crowd and onto the dance floor....I posted some pics of their performance.....once again a great night, great music, and ice cold beer!!! doesnt get any better than that.....til next week.....aye los wacho....
ps....Shout out to Lawrence....next round of tequila is on you my friend....LOL
p.s.s.....If these guys are ever in your area take the time to go see them!! make sure to take a camera....like they say a picture is worth a thousand words.....
