this is a brand new addition to the canastarecords.com message board. every week I will be picking a Conjunto and Summerizing on why they are the Conjunto of the week. hope ya'll like it. my first pick for this week is My Grandfather Alfredo De La Rosa . let me start off by saying that it has been an honor and privilege to have played with this man. every gig with him was as enjoyable as the last one. he is a master motivater on stage with the crowd ,and not only that but with the band as well especially when he starts dancin with his accordion haha thats what gives us the animo and gets us and the crowd into it as well. never a dull moment with him he shows alot of showmanship,energy and heart on stage. his music speaks for itself it just makes u wanna dance con el puro compas!and he really lives up to the name "el Rey Del Compas" I guarantee u if u go to one of his shows I promise u u will not leave dissapointed. he is my biggest inspiration in la onda de Conjunto and I am proud to say that he is My Grandfather. and that is why he is Canastarecords 'sConjunto of the Week. here he is live at la lomita park in MCAllen Tx
