HOHNER LAUNCHES THE STEVE JORDAN ROCKORDEON - Limited Edition
GLEN ALLEN, VA- Hohner is proud to announce the launch of the limited edition reissue Steve Jordan Signature Rockordeon . Together, in celebration of Steve's many years of creating great music, Steve and Hohner have partnered up to develop an exciting new accordion that will feature Steve's signature sound. This new model has upgraded features that include a wooden fingerboard, adjustable bass strap with a wheel lever, upgraded snap on bellow straps, large flat pearloid buttons, noiseless fingerboard, dynamic action for smoother playing, upgraded shoulder straps, deluxe carrying case, and is available in candy red and black in the keys of GCF and FBbEB.
Esteban "Steve" Jordan is also known as the Jimi Hendrix of the accordion; the accordion wizard; lightning fingers and other monikers and recently, he has been acknowledged as the best accordionist ever by most other serious players, which is the highest of accolades," commented Gilbert Reyes, accordion product manager. More than any other accordionist, Jordan pushes the diatonic accordion to its limits, both musically and physically, playing traditional Tex-Mex, rock, jazz, salsa, zydeco and more.
When Steve performed at the 1988 Berlin Jazz Festival in Germany, Hohner took notice of his incredible musical ability and his custom tuned Hohner, which lead to the creation of this latest generation signature product. The Steve Jordan Rockordeon has a suggested retail price of $3,495 and it will be available in February 2010.
