What did you all think of Ricardo Guzman Jr.'s new cd "Esto Es Conjunto"? I was kinda disappointed by it. I mean it's probably a 5 on a scale from 1-10. After the first 2 cds i expected great things from this one. To me it seems like they changed their style a bit. What do you all think?
I share your feelings on this Jefe. I bought it thinking it was going to be badass. Well while it was not a bad cd, it certainly was not what i expected. It sounds like they did alter their style. I loved the first 2 cds, this one is decent but nothing special.
Glad to know i am not the only thinking this way about this cd. I mean their first two were off the charts. Then this one was like hmm... i could not get into it. Better luck next time guys. From 1-10 i rate it a 4
Ya this cd sounds alot more like Boni than it does RG jr. I heard it and took a pass on it. I like his style (RG jr) but not on this cd. I would give it around a 4 outa 10 too
Guess i have to dissagree with you guys....I thought the CD was very well done, and I really enjoyed it, sometimes its good for bands to try to do things a little different,
I will have to agree with most of you all. I was VERY disappointed with this cd. I think these bad boys are one of conjunto's best bands so this cd was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I guess the problem with this cd is that yes it basically sounds like Boni M. which is not a bad thing if your Boni, but not if your Ricardo Guzman Jr.
Lately it seems like everything Boni has been producing sounds like him. What happened to letting the groups express themselves? IDK the cd was just not what i expected. Hopefully on the next one they will go back to doing what they do best and playing like Ricardo Guzman Jr. Y Sus Tres Ases. Overall Grade 4 outa 10, or a plain C
