Hello friends, i am looking for a new bajo sexto. I have a Macais that is my favorite and i love it very much but i want to try something different. I heard alot of a brand called Pasaye, but don't know much about them can someone provide me with some info on them please, i would be very grateful. Also i have a Guerro Bajo, a Gabinelli, and an Hernandez any other brands out there that i should look in too?

hernandez are okay if you're into norteņo. Pasaye's add a different touch whether you're playing conjunto or norteno, very crisp. they're not hard to find. just google it. you'll find a website where you can order them. they come from california (if i'm not mistaken)
There is no such thing as a Bajo for conjunto or a bajo for Norteno.Your pick up and your amp is what is going to do 90% of the work not a name brand.I use Hernandez because it is what works for me.I like the feel of these bajos and thats what got me hooked.But you can get a cheap turser bajo or a Lone star and make it sound as good as a Macias or Hernandez with a good amp and pick up.Its like my friend and bajo sexto player Mando Garza says ES EL MONO!.
