My Platinum list: Panther, Hohner (Corona II), Gabbanelli, and Baffeti.
Conjunto or norteno, either way. Its not really the accordion that makes it sound conjunto / norteno, its the way the musician plays his/her instrument that defines what they play.
IT'S NOT THE ACCORDIAN WHO MAKES THE PLAYER [IT'S THE PLAYER WHO BRING'S OUT THE MUSIC OF THE INSTRUMENT ] EVEN IF IT'S A CHEAP ACCORDIAN . IT ALL COMES THE HEART ALWAY'S REMEMBER THAT.
WELL VINCE I GUESS MUSICOS THAT PLAY WELTMISTERS PLAY JUNK IVE SEEN ANGEL FLORES-SANTIAGO JIMINEZ-MINGO PLAY WELTMISTER BUT I GUESS THEY DONT KNOW WHAT A GOOD ACCORDION IS RIGHT

i guess (??). i don't know about the "WELTMISTER" brand, but as far as the WELTMEISTER brand, i'm just not very fond of it. when i hit my buttons, i expect sound to come out immediately, not air or hesitation, or a ronca sound. i also expect my box to feel sturdy and capable, confident.
for that type of sarcasm you must play one yourself (?). some look down on panthers, and its my fav., but i'm not crying about it. :D
i see a lot of people buy them, but are ashamed to take them on stage, and you can tell by the way they play. the panther is totally underestimated. i'm proud to take mine on stage, i play the **** out of it and it still holds up very well.
