Howdy all, been a while since I've cruised by, but like I always say, I am never too far. I just wanted to take 5 min out to tell yall about a special project that one of my bestest friends (who just happens to be a musico tambien) turned me onto called... "Acordeones de la Esperanza". Some of you may have already heard of it. It was inspired by the David and JJ Cancer Foundation. Its proceeds go to benefit children of cancer. This cd is primarily made up of polkas/huapangos...featuring the late Ricky Martinez (R.I.P.)....Siggno....Elida Reyna....La Mafia...Lucky from Frijoles...Badd Boyz...Chamacos...DLG...Danny Sanchez (ex-Intocable)...just to name a few. While I'm blessed to say that I have not been directly affected by this deadly disease thus far, I am an avid advocate of cancer, especially when it comes to our babies...we're talking about our future. Fight for a cause!!!! This cd especially touched my heart after I heard of, although never had the pleasure of meeting 2 yr old Romancito who went to be with the Lord 8/30/07 after his courageous fight. His 3rd bday would've been in the coming days. His smile captivated me and I still see his bubbly smile. Esta creatura batallo lo que nadie deberia. He is not forgotten.
