We are Pleased and honored to annouce that Lazaro Perez Y Su Conjunto has joined the Canasta Records family. Lazaro or as most of you know him here tres101 is one of the most talented young conjunto artists in the world today and is going to take the conjunto world by storm! His first cd is going to show why this guy has been labeled by you fans as "The Next Big Thing". At only 18 years of age Lazaro has been preforming for years making him a veteran in the conjunto industry already. This marks the first time he is on his own with his own conjunto. Look for his debut cd in a few short weeks. The countdown to "The Next Big Thing" has officially begun!

Congratulations, Lazaro!!!
It makes me so happy and proud to see that Lazaro, who is one of the 30 Eligio Escobar Scholarship Fund recipients, is carrying CONJUNTO MUSIC forward! That is one of the reasons we have the Veterano Conjunto Festival (at it's 9th year already). Besides the main reason, which is to HONOR OUR VETERANS, in memory of my father, we definitely do something to benefit our Hispanic community AND the Conjunto Scene. Thanks to all of you who support me in this endeavor. 

Again, CONGRATULATIONS TO LAZARO and BEST OF LUCK. I know that "THE NEXT BEST THING's" CD with Canasta is going to be HOT!!!! Can't wait to hear it!
