Acordeon Question?

I know you guys can help me so here i go. I have to chose between 2 acordions, which one do you all think is better? Either a Panther made my Hohner or a D. Bafetti acordion.   A pawn shop that i went to has both and they are brand new not much wear on them if any at all. They are both going for around the same price. I have heard good things about both. If you all were in my shoes which one would you all pick? I play conjunto music like the style of like Tony or maybe like Garcia bros. Please help me make this very hard choice. Thanks guys and i am countin on my amigos here.

Personally i like the sound of the Bafetti acordions. Alot of groups are picking those up and they sound sweet.

i would pick the bafetti in this case the reason being that your other choice the panther is a very good accordion but if you are gonna spend the same $$$ on it you mite as well get the bafetti that has color and pearls on it... or whatever...in my opinion i still think that the Hohner Corona II Classics are the best for conjunto bc thats what i have... but in this case i would go wit the bafetti over a panther probably...

Volador, it really boils down to personal preference.  The Panther, although considered a "beginers" accordion, can definetly holds it own.  I own four Hohners (3 Corona II's & 1 panther) and my favorite one is the Panther.  Now let me clarify this a bit; the reeds pf my Panther are from a Corona II and are dry tuned.  But the action on it is great.

Now Bafetti makes an outstanding accordion.  In this case, a better quality than the Panther.  If you have a choice, get the Baffetti simply because of the price option.  I have also played Baffetti accordions and found that they handle well.  I must say that I'm a bit sceptical that the Panther is the same price as the Baffetti.

Just be sure to the deal is not shady and that it's legit.  Remember, it's not the look that makes the accordion, it's the music that it produces.

Just to let you know, some of the accordionist using Baffetti today are: Steve Martinez(Hometown Boys), Eddie Jimenez(Garcia Bros., Now DaKrazyPimpz), Joel Guzman, Mando de Los Santos(La Venganza)

I prefer a honer myself, very few people can make the Gab sound good for this type of conjunto.
